The Cars

1935 Rolls Royce 20/25 Limousine. Coachwork by Thrupp and Maberly

This car in Sapphire blue over black was first purchased by the Academy Award winning actor George Arlliss at a cost of £1358-11-6d! - worth, we hope, considerably more today. The car has an extremely comfortable rear passenger area separated from the chauffeur with a sliding glass division which allows privacy for rear passengers although there is a ‘telephone’ if required!

There are two additional folding seats at the rear which can allow seating for bridesmaids/page boys 3 -7 years old if you would like them to accompany you (not recommended for older children). We would suggest collecting the bride with the car in formal appearance and after the ceremony we will drop the rear boot shelf, add the Fortnum and Mason picnic basket, and drive you and your husband to the reception. You can, of course, enjoy your complimentary Fortnum and Mason Champagne on the way….

1932 Rolls Royce 20/25 Sedanca. Coachwork by Windover

The ‘Sedanca’ refers to the opening roof section over the driver that can fold back on sunny days. Recently refinished in Primrose yellow over black this lovely car also has a chauffeur’s division and has a recently fully
re-upholstered and carpeted passenger compartment that we are sure will satisfy any discerning bride. This car also has two folding rear seats.

As above, we would recommend the car departing in formal appearance with the Sedanca section closed but opened after the ceremony. The choice, of course, is yours.

Both cars will be driven by period liveried chauffeurs who will do their utmost to ensure your day, and the cars, run as smoothly as possible We are proud to be the current custodians of these vehicles and if you would like to see and inspect them before you decide to hire then please contact us and we will make the necessary arrangements.
